She also goes on to talk about what she may be best known for; her breasts. She says that she has lost count of the amount of boob jobs she’s had and estimates it to be “about five or six”. You would think that something as big as that, she would remember.

Known also for her marriage and break up with Peter Andre, we just wonder if he had any male liposuction seeing as she had so much surgery done. Maybe not liposuction but Botox or veneers on his teeth he may have had. On the subject of veneers Katie said that she wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

To conclude her interview she said “I’m not afraid of getting old. I’d rather age naturally than have a facelift. People look stupid with a facelift.”

This isn’t the only corporation that has caused controversy recently by offering “lucky people” the free prize of cosmetic surgery as part of a contest. A new American TV programme called Bridalplasty involved bride-to-be participants competing against each other for gastric bands and other surgery.

Trump Entertainment Resorts senior vice president of marketing, Kathleen McSweeney, said of the latest adventure, that they “wanted to change the face of a typical casino promotion and with this one we are literally doing it.”

She said that many people have something they want to change but the cost of these procedures can be quite costly and so the new card loyalty programme will allow the winner the opportunity to get the surgery of their choice.

However, it is reported the winner can opt for the $25,000 prize in cash if he or she doesn’t want the surgery. So is this really the ultimate casino prize?

Here’s what she wrote in her column – “Apparently Victoria Beckham has lost her baby weight by walking seven miles a day.

“She’s naturally skinny but I think she might have had tummy tucks and liposuction. If you ask me there is no way naturally that any woman can get her figure back so soon after having a kid!”

Not every woman is as lucky as Victoria though, we don’t all have thousands of pounds that we can just chuck at things like laser liposuction. The majority of women out there will have to go back to the gym and put in hours and hours to try and get that body back that they had before they gave birth.

It has created the very first show in which soon-to-be wives contest to win free cosmetic surgery makeovers.

Bridalplasty is a new American TV program which sells the likes of liposuction procedures and nose jobs to its participants. The fiancées compete against each other for breast enlargement, gastric bands or laser lipo surgery. Each week one ‘lucky’ bride will go under the knife to achieve on of her surgeries off her “wish list”.

Now we understand that even cheap lipo can be pricy but to compete in a show to get it done for free?

BRIDALPLASTY

The brides take part in various wedding themed challenges such as writing the wedding vows and planning the honeymoon, after which they can then vote each other out of the competition. The winning bride then goes under the knife and her groom does not see her extreme plastic surgery for the first time until he stands at the altar on the big day and lifts up her veil.

The network which the show is broadcast on said in a statement: “Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day but for the women competing on E!’s new series, Bridalplasty, only perfection will do.”

“Bridalplasty brings together engaged women who are seeking complete image transformations before their big day — they want the dream wedding AND the dream body to go along with it.”

It added: “There have been shows about people having plastic surgery but in Bridalplasty it’s the prize — pushing the limits of medical ethics.”

CRITICISM

However, the programme has received criticism from all over the world, especially in the US. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons code of ethics states: “We’re technically prohibited from giving procedures away as a prize for a contest. It totally undermines the doctor-patient relationship.”

One professor of plastic surgery from America has even said that “the ethical and social implications of this [show] are frightening.”

And others argue that the message it sends to girls and women is that by achieving the ‘perfect’ appearance, everything will be better; that if you’re not beautiful enough on your wedding day you have to receive plastic surgery.

But who is to say that the husband-to-be will think of them in the same way afterwards or even like their new appearance?

Dr Eric Swanson, of a private practice in Kansas, United States, presented his findings at the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) annual conference in Denver.

The surgeon found that patients who were treated with liposuction had significantly lower fasting triglyceride levels three months after their procedure as well as lower white blood cell counts.

The triglyceride level is a laboratory test to measure the amount of triglycerides in your blood which are types of fat and low triglyceride levels have been reported to lower the risk of heart disease.

The study surveyed over 320 men and women who underwent liposuction with or without abdominoplasty.

The research revealed that patients treated with liposuction had their fat levels decreased by around 26%. And the number of patients with high levels of fat before their liposuction, actually reduced by almost 50%.

Although this research suggests it may be good for the heart and have health benefits, there are still varying consequences to having such a major operation.
