Smart Liposuction

Smart Liposuction

Smart Liposuction is a medical procedure where a qualified surgeon removes fatty deposits from different parts of one’s body. Smart liposuction is either done with ultrasonic assistance or added laser treatments. Tumescent fluid infusiion is also used in some liposuction procedures. These liposuction procedures are noninvasive, in that there are only a few minute incisions made by the surgeon when using the tumescent method.

Smart liposuction can be performed on several body parts, including: thighs, hips and buttocks, abdomen and waist, upper arms, back, inner knee, chest area, cheeks, chin and neck, and calves and ankles. In some instances, the area around the eyes may have smart liposuction used on them if recommended. A person who wants to have liposuction should be at, or close to, their maximum weight. They should be in good health and not greatly overweight.

In some situations, smart liposuction is performed alone. Liposuction will not be used as a treatment for obesity or a substitute for a good diet and exercise. Smart liposuction is not effective to treat cellulite (the small indentations of skin that generally appear on the thighs, hips and buttocks, or saggy skin).

Another smart liposuction treatment is called SlimLipo Laser, which is a body sculpting procedure that combines liposuction techniques with laser treatment successfully to safely melt and remove unwanted body fat and help tighten skin with minimal recouperating time. During this procedure, the laser is used to target unwanted body fat cells. The fat is thereby being liquefied and removed while also tightening and smoothing the surrounding skin.

The Ultrasonic Liposuction Procedure is another smart liposuction procedure that is used for fat removal in hard-to-treat areas such as chin, neck, cheeks, knees, calves and ankles. It generally acts as an addition to tumescent liposuction for patients who require more exact body contouring. Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction (UAL) is a form of smart liposuction that employs ultrasonic sound waves to basicly melt fat deposits into liquid. When combined with the injected tumescent fluid, liquid fat emulsifies, making its removal much easier.

Ultrasonic Sound Waves Liquefy Fat, and the first step in the ultrasonic liposuction procedure is the infusion of tumescent fluid, which is a combination of anesthetic, salt water solution and epinephrine, into the area being treated. This helps prevent fluid loss while fat removal is in process, and makes the deposits easier to remove.

Several benefits associated with UAL fat removal, smart liposuction, include the ability to treat areas that have denser fat deposits thereby removing volumes of fat at one time. Ultrsonic liposuction also tightens the skin during the process. This smart liposuction procedure is often used after tumescent liposuction as a fine-tuning method, since it allows more precision.

There are a few risks associated with Ultrasonic Liposuction (smart liposuction). These risks are common because a large amount of heat is created during ultrasonic liposuction that may cause burns, blistering and scarring. A UAL surgeon with liposuction experience will know how to avoid this risk, but the danger must be considered. Another risk is a condition called seroma, which happens when the body attempts to produce more fluid to fill the void left by fat removal. This fluid must be removed constantly with a syringe until the cavity has closed.
